Commissioned by MCC, this fine bone china replica of the Ashes Urn is made and hand-decorated in Staffordshire, England. The production process is meticulous and comprises the painting of each replica Urn on three occasions, to be followed by three firings in the kiln. The elegant satin-lined presentation box is made by a specialist manufacturer in Sheffield. Inlaid to the lid of each box is a presentation card that details the story of the Ashes - arguably cricket's most famous rivalry.
The height of the replica Ashes Urn on its base is 5½ʺ (14cm). The cork can be carefully removed and as the urn is hollow ashes or similar can be placed inside.
